A few months ago, I found a pin to make your own foaming hand soap. Since it saves a ton of soap and I love foaming soap, AND it was super easy, I made some.
If I remember the pin correctly, all you do is fill a bottle a quarter of the way with hand soap and the rest of the way with very hot water, and shake. Couldn’t get any easier. How much is generic brand hand soap? Like $1.29 or something? Now you can make it go 4 x as far! That’s practically nothing. :)
However, since I wanted mine to be in a bottle with a foaming-friendly spout, I used the empty one from my classroom at work and it had a misleading label. So every time I had to people over I would have to say, “Hey the bottle in the bathroom actually has Foaming Hand Soap, not Kid’s Hand Sanitizer like the bottle says.”
It took me quite a few gatherings of saying that before I finally made my own label. All I did was get some cutesy scrapbook paper, write “Foaming Hand Soap”, cut it down to size, and mod podge it onto the bottle. (I took that ugly clearance sticker off too.) Now I love how it looks!
