It’s August, and that means Back to School time!!  I’m going back to “school” too, well my job at the daycare… after my amazing summer/ maternity leave.  That’s right, I said DAYCARE CENTER.  AND I’m in the 2 Year Old Room this year… So you *KNOW* I’ll be getting my flu shot!  Even if you don’t get the flu shot, though, there are required vaccines that Walgreens can provide in order for your child(ren) to go back to school.

Luckily Walgreens had what I needed to prepare for Back To School, including Immune Support!

Here’s what we brought home so we can all prepare our bodies  for back to school:

Not only is Walgreens an easy stop for all the Back to School stuff you need, including immunizations, but its also got this wonderful #GiveAShot program!!  Every time you give a kid an immunization at Walgreens, you are helping them Give A Shot to a child in need!  I love that; how amazing!!  When your child gets his or her immunization for school like whooping cough or meningitis, they will help provide a life saving vaccine for a child in a developing country through the United Nations Foundation’s Shot@Life Campaign.  Walgreens makes it quick and easy to get your kids’ shots; you don’t even need an appointment and they accept most insurance!  Walgreens pharmacists will even report back to your primary care physician!

Think about all the creative things you do as a parent to try to combat your child’s fear of getting a shot… this campaign provides the chance to curb that fear by telling your child he or she can be brave so that another child’s life can be saved.  As a Catholic, I love this; let’s put our suffering to good use!!  What a great teach-able moment we have here as parents!

Give A Shot

I know this picture depicts my three year old giving a shot to my three month old, but this program is aimed at school-aged children, ages 7 and up!

Thanks, #CollectiveBias for my first shopportunity!  I had so much fun!!
